Shinichi Fukuda is an anime cartoonist and game designer who was born and raised in Japan. He started his career as an illustrator for a manga series before meeting his wife, at age 22. He had created the character of My Dress-Up Darling
for a magazine in Japan based on the Make-Up dress-up game. Shinichi Fukuda had developed after his marriage to Noriko Hayakawa.
He published all of the design patterns related to My Dress-up Darling but also acted as spokesperson for many Japanese fashion brands, including Nicora (1973), and Sogo Corporation (1975).
He subsequently took part in designing two fashion lines with Nicora: “Rainbow Angel” and “My Dress-Up Darling”. His freelance creative products outside of Japan include conceptualizations of wallpapers and wallpaper designs that match the mascot.
Shinichi Fukuda was an anime artist and manga writer who became nationally renowned for his story and illustrations.
He used to work for a commercial illustration gallery for about ten years, where he drew posters, packaging, instruction manuals, and manga. His devoted readership knew him through his illustration of the Kappa character in the children’s television series Hikari no Densetsu AKA “Shinichi Fokuda’s Kappatice Show”.
